Out of Eden Fund

Funding from Out of Eden Ltd to support communities in the Upper Eden Valley, particularly around the 17 parishes included in the Upper Eden Community Plan: Kirkby Stephen, Hartley, Waitby, Wharton, Mallerstang, Brough, Stainmoor, Crosby Garret, Ravonstonedale, Winton, Kaber, nateby, Soulby, Brough Sowerby, Musgrave, Warcop and Hellbeck

AND in the Heart of Eden Community Plan:
Appleby, Asby, Bandleyside, Colby, Crackenthorpe, Dufton, Kirkby Thore, Long Marton, Milburn, Murton & Temple Sowerby

Priority will be given to projects that support the cohesion, strengthening and support of these communities

Who can apply?
Charitable not for profit groups whose projects are benefitting the communities within the priority area for the fund

Examples of activities supported:
• Groups who encourage employability skills especially among disadvantaged young people
• Activities that educate the community around Dementia awareness
• Activities that support isolated or disadvantaged older people
•Groups who support vocational training, education or raising aspirations for people with a disability.

What the fund will not support in addition to our normal exclusions:
Individual applicants

How much can you apply for?
The minimum grant award will be £500 and the maximum award would normally be £1,000.00
