Virtual Coast to Coast Corporate Challenge 2024

The Coast to Coast Walk is one of the most popular long-distance trails in the UK and takes in our amazing county of Cumbria.

From the Irish Sea at St Bees Head, it winds its way across northern England to the North Sea at Robin Hood’s Bay.

To celebrate our 25th year, we are asking our corporate supporters to complete the 171 miles virtually whilst helping to raise funds to support community groups and charities right here in Cumbria.

All money raised will go to either our Cumbria Fund supporting communities across the county or into your corporate fund with the Foundation if you already have one. It’s a great way for businesses to give back to their local community.

Event date

The event will begin on Monday 20th May and run until Monday 1st July.


Select a team captain to register first at Virtual Coast to Coast Corporate Challenge 2024.

Once registered, team captains can invite colleagues to join their team. The individual members will then be able to register via the link sent to them.

The entry fee for each participant is £10. There is no minimum fundraising target, but we would love each team to raise as much as possible.

Teams can have between one and 50 members.

Once registered an online fundraising page will be automatically created to make it easier for people to donate directly. You can upload offline donation details to your page so they will be included in the total raised.

Taking part

The route can be completed virtually by walking, running, swimming, static exercise bike, rowing machine – in fact any exercise where you are moving to record mileage, except cycling.

You can record your mileage data by syncing to your Strava account or uploading manually to your page.

All data is collated to create a leaderboard for distance covered and money raised, allowing you to see how your fellow competitors are progressing.
