Grants to individuals aged 16 and over to help them learn new skills and build careers in Cumbria’s tourism and hospitality sector.

Who can apply?
• individuals aged 16 years or over, who live in and are studying or training in the tourism or hospitality sector in Cumbria
• individuals aged 16 years or over, who are newly employed (within two years) in the tourism or hospitality sector in Cumbria
Examples of activities supported:
• specialist equipment e.g. chef knives or uniform
• course costs
• study materials such as textbooks or laptops
• travel costs
• hardship costs where these enable completion of studies/course e.g. rent deposit
What the fund will not support in addition to our normal exclusions:
• groups
How much can you apply for?
Grants will normally be up to £500 over one year.
Household income will be considered in the assessment of the application.
