Formerly a solicitor in a private practice, specialising in property law and wills, and acting for a number of charities. A former trustee of County Durham Foundation and Sir ED Walker Homes, David moved from the North East to Cumbria in 2006. He is a Clerk of Matterdale Parish Council, Secretary to Watermillock Village Hall and a member of Penrith Rotary Club. In his spare time he is to be found singing with Keswick Choral Society or playing golf at Penrith.
