Trustee Vacancies

As a registered charity, we’re governed by a board of trustees. We need committed, community-minded people from all walks of life to join our board.

We believe that great decisions come from diverse voices. To bring a broader range of experiences to our team, we’d particularly encourage applications from candidates who are LGBTQ+, black or brown.

We are currently have three vacancies:

Honorary Treasurer (volunteer)

Our Honorary Treasurer will stand down in 2027 so we’re looking for someone willing to shadow her initially, then step up into that vital role. You’ll be a qualified accountant or senior finance professional, who will be confident advising and guiding the board on all aspects of financial management and reporting.

Trustees – Furness and West Cumbria

We’re looking for people based in Furness or West Cumbria to join our Trustee Board and also sit on the relevant Grants Committee for the area.

If you’ve worked in the charity, public or private sector, volunteered in your community, or faced challenges that connect you personally to the causes we support, such as poverty, disability, rural isolation, or mental health challenges, we’d like to hear from you. What matters most is your commitment to making a difference in Cumbria.
