Jayne is Head of Marketing at Oxley Group, an Ulverston based manufacturer of electronics, and plays a key role in local industry and in supporting careers development in Cumbria.

Born and raised in Barrow, Jayne is a champion for the area, working for many years as a volunteer at Barrow Foodbank, as a Trustee of a Multi- Academy Trust and sitting as a Civic Commissioner on the Barrow Poverty Truth Commission so has a deep understanding of the experience of the challenges people face in the area.

Passionate about equality and opportunity, Jayne works heavily in the skills domain, chairing Furness Education and Skills Partnership and building skills and creating opportunities to ensure every young person is able to reach their full potential.

Jayne has been recognised by The Manufacturer as one of the UK’s 100 most influential people in the category of ‘Driver of Cultural Change’ and was awarded an MBE for services to industry.
