Janine was born and bred in Barrow-in-Furness and has worked in all pockets of the community.

She worked in adult care for 14 years with a passion for dementia care before changing career paths in 2017, where she went to study Psychology, Sociology and Criminology and Lancaster College, before moving on to complete her degree in Youth and Community at the University of Cumbria.

Janine has worked at Furness Multi-Cultural Community Forum for the past 6 years where she is currently the Project Manager.

Janine knows her community of Barrow-in-Furness very well and is excited to be part of CCF’s Furness Grants Committee.
