The High Sheriff of Cumbria’s Morecambe Bay Charity Walk is all about having fun and raising money to support the High Sheriff’s Crimebeat Fund.

All money raised will support local community groups working with young people who are involved in crime or in danger of becoming involved in anti social behaviour or crime.

South Workington Youth Partnership recently received a grant of £1,000 from the High Sheriff’s Crimebeat Fund. The money was awarded to support staff costs who work with young people on a weekly basis who are on the Intensive Supervision and Surveillance programme. Supervision is tailored to the individual so that any other needs the young person has such as accommodation, substance misuse or mental health are also addressed.
