Staff 10th Anniversary Fund

Easy-to-access grants for small projects
Funded by Cumbria Community Foundation long term capital funds

What will the fund support?
• activities and equipment which support disadvantaged people in Cumbria
• projects that improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of local communities
• the fund prefers to support smaller projects where its contribution may make a bigger difference

Examples of activities supported:
• new first responder groups
• new residents’ group
• plastic recycling cage
• equipment for youth club
• exercise classes for older people
• craft fair
• village hall refurbishment
• disability sports

Priority will be given to projects which support one of the Foundation’s aims:
• tackling disadvantage in rural communities
• tackling disadvantage in pockets of deprivation including the 20% most deprived wards
• supporting disadvantaged children and young people
• hidden and emerging need

And key groups:
• older adults
• people with mental health needs
• children and young people
• people on low incomes

Environmental matters and sustainability are considered as part of the grant making process

We will not fund:
• computers
• expeditions
• non-charitable sports or arts
• outings except in special circumstances
• photocopiers
• vehicle purchase costs
• promotion of religious doctrine
