We would like to thank everyone who has so generously donated to the Kirkby Lonsdale Fire Disaster Recovery Appeal – your support has made such a difference to those who have suffered hardship as a result of the devastating fire on 8 December 2024.
In partnership with the Kirkby Lonsdale Business and Community Recovery Partnership and Westmorland and Furness Council, the Foundation has awarded grants totalling £120,500 across three phases of grant making to support 83 households and 4 community groups.
Whilst our appeal is now closed there is an opportunity support the town’s Build Back Kirkby Lonsdale Programme.
Led by the Kirkby Lonsdale Community Partnership, an appeal has been launched to raise vital funds to:
• Support opportunities that arise during the delivery of the programme to enhance the business and community offer for the local community and visitors;
and
• Promote individual and collective recovery through the development of shared community priorities.
