High Sheriff’s Crimebeat Fund

Easy to access grants for groups working with young people.
This fund is Donor advised.
Funded by money raised by Cumbrian High Sheriffs during their year in office.

Who can apply?
• groups helping young people facing disadvantage
• priority will be given to groups whose activities primarily target young people involved with crime or in danger of becoming involved in antisocial behaviour or crime

Examples of activities the fund would like to support:
• holiday schemes
• anti-bullying projects
• anti-racism projects
• projects that support young people in care or leaving care
• projects that support young people who have been excluded from mainstream education
• projects that support young people who are in the youth justice system

The Fund will not support:
• computers
• individuals
• non-charitable sports or arts organisations
• outings except in special circumstances
• photocopiers
• promotion of religious doctrine
• vehicle purchase costs

How much can you apply for?
• the maximum grant will normally be £1,000 over one year
