
Grants to organisations for initiatives that reduce poverty, improve health, tackle social inequality, and help people reach their potential, or for projects that nurture a sense of place or promote climate action at a local level in Cumbria.

Who can apply?
• charitable, not-for-profit organisations
Priority will be given to projects that:
• promote life skills and the raising of aspirations
• support people in fulfilling their potential
• support for rural and farming communities
• improve people’s knowledge of countryside matters
Examples of projects supported:
• educating young people in rural matters
• agricultural qualifications for those with disabilities
• advice and support for people living in rural areas
• community facilities run by grassroots groups
What the fund will not support in addition to our normal exclusions:
• individuals
How much can you apply for?
Grants will normally be up to £3,000 over one year.
