Grants to organisations for initiatives that reduce poverty, improve health, tackle social inequality, and help people reach their potential, or for projects that nurture a sense of place or promote climate action. Priority will be given to projects that benefit people and communities in the former Heart of Barrow wards including Old Barrow (Barrow Island and Central) and Hindpool; Ormsgill and Parkside; Risedale and Roosecoate; Hawcoat and Newbarns.

• improvement of community facilities
• social inclusion activities for older people
• recruiting and training of volunteers
• IT equipment and training sessions for use by the community

How much can you apply for?
Grants will normally be up to £3,000 over one year.
