Grants for charitable, not-for-profit groups whose projects benefit the communities within the former local authorities of Allerdale, Carlisle and Eden.
The Fund supports activity that meet the Foundation’s two priorities, based on community needs:
1. Improving Lives
• Reducing poverty: supporting financial stability, food/fuel security, and housing.
• Reaching potential: empowering people, especially children and those facing barriers, through education and skills.
• Improving health: funding mental health, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives.
• Tackling social inequality: promoting equity, inclusion, and crisis recovery.
2. Strengthening Communities
• Nurturing sense of place: building inclusive, safe, and connected communities.
• Acting on climate change: supporting local sustainability and climate resilience projects.
