Donna Monro


Donna studied engineering science at Exeter University and then worked in the renewable energy and sustainability sector with a particular focus on the integration of renewable technologies and energy efficiency measures into buildings.

She is a member of the Buildings Panel of Zero Carbon Cumbria helping Cumbria to reduce its carbon emissions.

She moved to Furness 20 years ago and brought up two children in the area.

Ten years ago, she helped to set up Autus Cumbria, a not-for-profit organisation based in Barrow-in-Furness, that works to support autistic people and their families in the area.

She is passionate about removing barriers to a successful life that people encounter due to who they are and where they live.
