Annette has an extensive background in the criminal justice system, having served as Chief Executive of both Cumbria and Merseyside Probation Service.

She currently serves as Chair of Cumbria Victims Charitable Trust and Chair of the Cumbria Violence Against Women and Girls Scrutiny Panel for the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner.

In addition, she is a Trustee of Blackburne House, a women’s further education college and social enterprise in Liverpool, and Chair of Peninsula Environmental Action Together on the Cartmel Peninsula.

She lives in the South Lakes and is an active member of her local village hall committee.
