Steve is the Chief Engineer for Sellafield Ltd. He joined the Royal Navy from school and stayed there for 14 years, leaving as Chief Engineering Officer.
He worked as Engineering Manager for a large distribution company in Leeds before joining Sellafield in 1991 as Commissioning Engineer. He held a number of senior operational and engineering roles at Sellafield and became Chief Engineer for the site in April 2015.
Steve’s main hobby is cycling and he usually takes part in a charity cycling event each year. In 2016, he cycled 200 miles to Edinburgh in one day. Other hobbies include travelling, gardening and growing his own produce.
Steve is originally from Sheffield but has lived in St Bees since he moved to Cumbria in 1991. He is married with two grown up daughters. Steve is an avid Sheffield Wednesday supporter.
