Baines Wilson LLP have partnered up with Lake District Hotels and Barclays Bank to host a black tie event ‘Kitchen Rivals’ at the Lodore Falls Hotel, Derwentwater on Thursday 28 January 2016. The Love Cumbria Art Auction is taking place on Thursday 11th February 2016, 6.30pm at The Halston in Carlisle. This event is a partnership project between the University of Cumbria, Tullie House Museum and The Halston. They have already had over 50 donations and all proceeds from the event will be donated to the Flood Appeal to help those affected by flooding across Cumbria. Comedian Ed Byrne will be donating the profits from his show at The Sands Centre, in Carlisle, to the Cumbria Flood Recovery Fund. The Mock The Week star also played two shows in Cumbria in the week leading up to the floods and enjoyed a day out on the Lakeland fells.
