Cross Bay Walk 31st July 2021
Cross Bay Walks are internationally renowned for their historic value as well as their unique scenery and wildlife and people have been crossing the sands with a royally appointed guide since the 1500s. This iconic walk is a unique experience that starts in Arnside and finishes across the bay at Grange-over-Sands. It is 8-9 miles long and takes around 4 hours.
Taking part in a Cross Bay Walk is an exceptional way to enjoy the stunning beauty of Morecambe Bay. Crossing the sands with an experienced and knowledgeable guide is the only way to traverse the ever-changing flats and channels, and is an amazing experience.
Tickets for the High Sheriff Cross Bay Walk on 31st July 2021, are available here: High Sheriff of Cumbria Cross Bay Charity Walk. Tickets cost £13 for adults and £8 for under 16s (minimum age 9 years).

All walkers must have bought tickets in advance and will also need to register at Arnside Promenade on the day from 9:45 am onwards. The walk will start promptly at 10:45 am and be led by Guide over the Sands, Michael Wilson, who has guided thousands of people safely over the bay.
