Participant Information

Please read the Big Sleep 2017 Participant Information Pack before arriving.

Saturday 28 – Sunday 29 January 2017
Arrive from 2pm. Sign out and depart in the morning.

In front of the Low Wood Bay Hotel, Windermere, LA23 1LP.

Hot drinks will be available throughout the evening for a minimum £1 donation per drink. Hand-knitted coffee cosies including children’s designs will also be available for a contribution.

There will also be snacks available for a reasonable donation so please bring cash with you to keep hunger at bay.  All proceeds from refreshments and coffee cosies will go towards the Winter Warmth Appeal.

The Low Wood Bay Watersports Marina car park is now fully operational and you will be able to park your car on-site, rather than at the Brockhole Visitor Centre, as was originally planned.

Please note, if you did not pay for car parking or supply your car registration number when signing up to the Big Sleep, you will need to provide this information, along with the £3 parking fee. Please email your car registration number to events@cumbriafoundation.org.

Due to the new parking arrangements, Mountain Goat will no longer be running the shuttle bus service, therefore please do not park at Brockhole as you will have to walk one mile to the Big Sleep camp site and you will be charged the full 24 hour car parking fee.
