Being born and bred in Cumbria and being a director in a local  successful SME business, Alison Johnston is only too aware of the challenges that Cumbria faces.

She firmly believes that the positive approach demonstrated by the Foundation in its approach to the area’s many challenges has been fundamental in bringing about changes for the better in our local communities as well as establishing its own position as a leader in the charitable sector.
