The Jennings Rivers Ride reveals some of the UK’s finest scenery and cycling terrain from the heart of the Lake District all the way out to the Irish Sea.

It’s called the Rivers Ride because sections of the routes follow the affected river courses and criss-cross over many of the bridges that were either destroyed and replaced, or were badly damaged during the floods in 2009 and 2015.

This is the fifth edition of the annual charity cycle ride, which has been refreshed to offer riders a new challenge! This year it will start and finish on Sunday 2nd October 2016 in Cockermouth.

Four new routes are available and are suitable for riders of ALL ABILITIES – from families and occasional riders, all the way through to seasoned sportive addicts looking to test their mettle against an epic new Lake District sportive route.

The event is held to raise money for the charitable work of Cumbria Community Foundation. All the money raised will go directly into supporting projects that provide much needed services at a grassroots level.
