The Rivers Ride reveals some of the UK’s finest scenery and cycling terrain from the heart of the Lake District all the way out to the Irish Sea. It’s a series of four bike rides which start and finish in Keswick.

The Rivers Ride is a charity fundraising event. All the proceeds from this year’s ride will go towards our Foundation Grants programme. This year we’re challenging rider’s to raise at least £125 each to provide over £180,000 for grant making across Cumbria - click here to read the latest grant stories. Anyone who raises £500 or more will be entered into a prize draw with a chance of winning a custom fitted road bike worth over £1,000!

It’s called the Rivers Ride because sections of each route follow the affected river courses and cross over many of the bridges that were either destroyed and replaced, or badly damaged during the floods in 2009. The Community Foundation was at the heart of the response raising £3m to help people affected.

Please watch the video below to find out the Rivers Ride is one of the best charity cycling events in Cumbria!
