How to give: Membership

Voluntary and Community Sector Membership

Membership gives you the opportunity to influence the Foundation's grant making policies and programmes.

Members are our 'eyes and ears' in the community, alerting us to emerging need and making suggestions for how we can develop our work. For organisations to be eligible for membership they must have charitable objects and work wholly or partly in Cumbria. Annual membership costs £15. The Community Foundation is managed by a committee of Trustees drawn from across Cumbria. Three Trustee positions are reserved for and elected from voluntary and community sector members.

Members of the Community Foundation receive an invitation to attend our annual meeting, and regular publications such as our Newsletter and Annual Review.

You:

  • are improving the quality of community life for the people of Cumbria
  • can contribute information about specific community needs and issues
  • get regular newsletters and annual reviews detailing our work
  • are invited to our annual meeting and celebration, where you can vote at our annual general meeting
  • receive invitations to special events

Minimum annual subscriptions rates are £15
