How to give: Giving your time

ProHelp has access to a range of professionals who can provide support throughout Cumbria.

The guiding principle of ProHelp is that volunteers approach the projects in the same way they would a fee-paying client. The only difference is your group will not be charged for the work.

Current ProHelpers include architects, accountants, human resource professionals, graphic designers, business people, journalists, IT specialists, PR experts, surveyors and many others.

Some examples of the help we can offer your group are:

· Support with business planning
· The creation of marketing strategies
· The development of websites
· The assessment of buildings
· Personnel issues
· The assessment of book keeping procedures

ProHelp projects are usually short, focussed pieces of work, but can last anywhere from a single meeting to several weeks of collaborative work.

Potential matches are discussed in detail with the ProHelp co-ordinator to ensure the desired outcome is clear, and to agree the likely content and timescale of the piece of work.
The co-ordinator monitors all matches, and you will be asked to provide regular updates on how things are progressing.

For further information, contact David Andrews, ProHelp co-ordinator, or Roger Hart on 01900 825760, or email david@cumbriafoundation.org or roger@cumbriafoundation.org
