Grants for small voluntary and community groups to address local needs and/or create opportunities that make a real difference, with priority given to groups in the Eden area, particularly, in Ullswater and Penrith.

Who can apply?
• volunteer-led grassroots groups which support their community
Examples of projects supported:
• refurbishment of community centre training room
• respite for young carers
• disabled toilet and kitchen unit for community centre
• playground equipment
What the fund will not support in addition to our normal exclusions:
• individuals
• exercise classes for tutor fees, e.g. Pilates
• walking groups
• Scout trips
How much can you apply for?
Grants will normally be less than £1,000 over one year; however, there is no maximum award amount.
