Grants for voluntary community groups and organisations that promote the long-term sustainability of the areas local to the Nuvia site and project activities (Allerdale and Copeland).

Who can apply?
• small, volunteer-led grassroots or community groups
• local partnerships
Priority will be given to projects that:
• improve skills for disadvantaged people
• improve employability of young people
• promote healthier, safer, and more resilient communities
• have environmental/sustainability initiatives
Examples of projects supported:
• community wildlife garden
• activities and workshops for young people in Cleator Moor and Frizington
• educational environment activities for disadvantaged young people from West Cumbria
What the fund will not support in addition to our normal exclusions:
• individuals
• expeditions
How much can you apply for?
Grants will normally be between £500 – £2,000 over one year; however, there is no maximum award amount.
