Grants for environmental projects in the parishes of Rockcliffe and Westlinton
Funded by Cumbria Waste Management with money from Landfill Tax Credits generated by the increased use of the Hespin Wood Landfill Site during the foot and mouth crisis

Voluntary and community organisations from the parishes of Rockcliffe and Westlinton near Carlisle

Examples of activities supported
* Skate park
Purpose built skate park for skate boarders
* School sculpture
Creation of a 'living willow' sculpture created by local children and planted in the school grounds
* Woodland cemetery
Woodland graves not marked by a headstone but situated in a woodland area managed as a wildlife habitat for native flora and fauna

What will the fund support?
Projects that protect the environment eg creation of a conservation area
Provision, maintenance or improvement of a public park
Maintenance, repair or restoration of a building or other structure, which is a place of worship or of historic or architectural interest, which is open or available to the public
We will not fund
moveable equipment
How much can you apply for?
Up to £10,000. If you would like to apply for a grant of more than £10,000 please contact the Fund administrator (see contact details below) to discuss your application
We also administer a number of small funds using the same criteria and will automatically consider appropriate applications
