Nuclear Management Partners Ltd set up the fund to support projects that will help improve the lives of people in West Cumbria by raising their aspiration and achievement

Who can apply?
Individuals aged 16 or over living in Allerdale or Copeland

What the fund will support
Individuals who wish to undertake education, training or an activity:
- that will benefit a community group
- to improve their quality of life and/or employment skills, but find it difficult to take up the opportunity due to health or disability, caring responsibilities or age
- volunteer youth worker undertaking youth work qualifications
- disabled person requiring a specialist wheelchair to take up employment
- single parent undertaking teaching assistant qualifications
Examples of activities supported
Priority will be given to vulnerable adults and individuals who are on low incomes
Household income will be taken into account in assessing applications.
When to apply
Applications are considered six times a year
What the fund will not support
* family trips and holidays
* activities outside the United Kingdom except in special circumstances
How much can you apply for?
Grants will usually range from £500 to £3,000. They may be one off awards or paid over two or three years dependent on progress.
Grants for groups
The NMP Community Fund will also make grants to groups
