Applying for a grant: grants for individuals

Most of our grants programmes only support groups not individuals. The exceptions are

Cumbria Flood Recovery Funds
Usually up to £1,000 initially for individuals and families suffering from the floods including flood resilence measures of up to £2,000

Cumbria Cultural Fund
Up to £500 to promote excellence in the arts and cultural life of Cumbria

Dora Beeforth Memorial Fund
Up to £500 to support young people from low income families to participate in sport and foreign travel

Edmond Castle Educational Trust
Up to £500 to train disadvantaged young people


Grants available in Allerdale, Copeland, Carlisle and parts of Eden only:

Cumberland Educational Foundation Grants
Up to £1,000 to widen access to sport and the arts

 

Grants available in Allerdale, Copeland and parts of Carlisle and Eden only:

Mary Grave Trust
Up to £932 to help young people in West Cumbria broaden their horizons through foreign travel

Grants available in Allerdale, Copeland and part of Eden only:

Gibb Charitable Trust Fund
Up to £300 vocational grants for students and trainees

 

Grants available in Allerdale and Copeland only:

BNFL 'Live the Dream' Fund
Up to £2,000 for 11-25 year olds in Allerdale and Copeland for study or vocational training

NMP Community Fund - grants for individuals
Up to £3,000 for training or a qualification that will improve employment opportunities or benefit the wider community

 

Grants available in Carlisle only:

Janetta Topsy Laidlaw Trust
Up to £500 to support older people styaing in their home in Carlisle District

Violet Laidlaw Trust
Up to £500 to support homeless people in Carlisle District
