The people of Cumbria benefit from the activities of over 3,000 voluntary and community groups. Together they play a vital role in the life of our towns and villages.
We have significant community need in the county, exacerbated by unemployment, industrial and agricultural decline and rural isolation.
It is our role to connect donors with groups and projects which make a difference to the lives of people in need. Our grant making targets activities which help the following groups:
- Children and young people
- Older people and their carers
- People with disabilities
- The unemployed and people on low incomes
