With the support of our donors and supporters we have achieved the following:
- grant aided over 1,600 organisations and over 1,700 individuals
- distributed £10m in grant aid
- built our permanent funds to £3.5m
- the voluntary groups we fund have involved over 10,000 people as volunteers in the work we have funded
We would like to acknowledge the organisations which were instrumental in the establishment of the Foundation. These include British Nuclear Group, our founder donor, which committed £1m to our permanent funds, and all of the local councils in Cumbria who met our initial running costs.
In 2009 we are celebrating our tenth anniversary.
