We improve the quality of life for people experiencing disadvantage in Cumbria by
- making grants to local charities
- promoting charitable giving by organisations and individuals
- managing grant-making funds on behalf of individuals and organisations
The Foundation was inaugurated in August 1999 and has grown quickly,
developing a number of new funding sources for community groups. It has
attracted significant sums to its long term capital fund.
